13th Avenue Pub's
5th Annual Golf Tournament was held on Saturday August 23, 2008 at Walter Hall golf course
We
had a very good turnout this year, with lots of beautiful weather.
Together we all raised $3700 for Jeffrey White, son of the late Kelle White
(Kelle had worked at 13th Avenue for many years). Thanks to everyone who played and contributed,
your generosity is very much appreciated.
The
tournament's official record shows an Eagle this year.....good job Matt!

4th Annual Golf Tournament was held on Saturday August 18th, 2007 at Walter Hall golf course
This
event has now been renamed to the
Russ
Chase Memorial Golf Tournament
Once
again the tournament was a huge success and we raised over $3000 for the family
of Russ Chase. Thanks to everyone who played and contributed, we greatly
appreciate you.

3rd Annual Golf Tournament was held on Saturday August
26th, 2006 at Walter Hall golf course
Again this year it was a tremendous success. We
had 11 foursomes, the weather was awesome, and we
raised $3140 that is being donated to Habitat for
Humanity. Our golfers requested that the money
be used locally, so Habitat for Humanity will be using if
for a home being built in Everett. Habitat for
Humanity is especially grateful and thanks everyone that
participated. Dee Kennedy's group was the tournament
winner this year.

2nd Annual Golf Tournament was held on Sunday September
18th, 2005
We
would like to thank everyone who participated this year, it
was a huge success. We had 14 foursomes and played at
the Walter Hall golf course in Everett on a bright and
beautiful Sunday. In total, we raised $3621 to go to a
special family that had lost everything they own in a tragic
Mountlake Terrace apartment fire in August.

13th Avenue Pub's 1st Annual Golf Tournament was held on Sunday September 19th, 2004
Every year 13th Avenue Pub
will put on a golf tournament at a nearby club. This
year for only $55 dollars a person you
get your green fees paid, drinks on the course, two free beverages at the 13th Avenue Pub
after the tournament, a complete steak dinner, awards and prizes. And if
you don't think that's a bargain for a day full of fun, 13th Avenue Pub also offers an
auction after the awards. Everyone has a great time, even if they aren't
golfers.
This tournament is not about winning a
prestigious tournament or lots of money. What this tournament is about is
helping others and having fun while doing it. This tradition began by a
few people sitting around as the holidays were nearing and talking about ways
that they could help. It has eventually evolved into the 13th Ave Pub adopting
needy families around the community at Christmas time. With the money
raised at the golf tournament and various other fund raisers throughout the year
they provide Christmas wreaths, trees, presents for the whole family, all the
fixings for their Christmas dinner, plus some extra food for after the
holidays. People find out from the families what each member wants or
needs for presents, go and buy them, and then deliver all the goodies to
them. It's a very rewarding and heartwarming experience for everyone
involved.
